My name is Wayne Barnett. I own a CPA firm that specializes in providing information technology (IT) auditing and consulting services to independent banks. I began working with computers in 1978. I've worked exclusively with bank IT systems since 1982.
My company has created a new concept in IT auditing; I call it value-added auditing. I strive to help my clients become more knowledgeable about their IT operations. This increases their comfort level with the operations. It also helps them formulate better strategies for using new technologies.
I have BBA and MBA degrees. I've written numerous articles on IT auditing and security issuses, and have conducted IT seminars for state banking associations throughout the country.
